Hegarty: We’re the instruments of our performance and it makes sense to keep those instruments in good condition, doesn’t it?
When you’re fundamentally fit, you’ll do more, attempt more, and achieve more, with a lot less wear and tear in your life.
Interviewer : Certainly. But what do you mean by “fundamentally fit”?
Hegarty:
Fitness is a skill. Like any skill, it has its basics, which can be learned by anyone. Regardless of your present condition, if you learn how to become fit, healthy and well.

Interviewer: But doesn’t this take really hard work, iron discipline, and endless hours in the gym?
Hegarty: Certainly not.
It’s a matter of knowing what to do, how to do it, and then just getting on with it.
You need a clear aim, an effective system, and the decision to get started.
Interviewer: Do you have to be fit to do this?
Hegarty: If you're fit enough to walk, you can use this system anywhere.
And at any time. Even in the gym’.
But the only gym’ you need is the one underneath your skin; that’s the best gym’ in the world.
