What is learning? It’s finding out something you don’t already know doesn’t it? How many of us find out as much as we can about the things we need to know? Not too many, I’d say. We learn what we think is enough and carry on from there. And that’s a fairly good strategy, because otherwise we think we don’t know enough and never get round to starting. Most things, like life, are learned when we do them. We can read all the theory, all the back stories, all the experiences of others, but nothing, absolutely nothing compares to the doing. That’s when we find something no one else has come across, or an attitude of our own that helps us, or a shortcoming that impedes us. Then we can search for the resources to help us. Sometimes they come from within. Sometimes we need to listen to someone else and apply what they do to our efforts. But either way we learn by doing one of those two things. It’s back again to the doing. To this end there is a combination of words we can use to help ourselves find out more, see things differently, to learn. The two words are “how can... ?”. How can I deal with this ? How can I cope with this? How can I find out about this? How can I do this? How can I avoid this? Depending on what you want, you can tailor the question to that end. Years and years ago I attended a seminar in which the facilitator said“There are two ways to get your brain searching for you; the first is to have a pressing need, your brain will instinctively search for an answer. “ “The second way”, he said “is to ask yourself the question ‘how can I do this?’ “ That question sends the brain hunting for the answer. As you keep asking, the brain keeps searching, even when you’re not aware of it. That’s when people have “Eureka“ moments. The solution to their problem is triggered by some Association of sight, sound, smell, touch, or even taste. Without their realising it, a memory or an association is flashed in the brain that provides the solution. Simple. Mysterious. Complicated. All those things. Different researchers will give you different theories on how it works. But you don’t have to know how or why it works. All you have to know is that it does. Then, just like anyone who knows nothing about electricity, you can flip the switch and turn on the light. Here's a way to bring it into life: CLICK THIS And that’s enough to start. Have a Great Day and Do Well...
