Cocooning. Isolating. Physical distancing. There’s a whole new language evolving to accommodate the speed of change that’s taking place. By the day, revelations and discoveries are showing new facts of life that are changing forever our viewpoints and attitudes. What was surreal five weeks ago is now fact. A new normal is making itself apparent as we adapt to it. Now, more than ever, it is necessary for individuals to be a part of the community, the town, the village, the parish, wherever groups of people exist. Any group is the sum of the individual is in it. Each individual contributes in his own way, whether the group is the nation, or town, or parish. Its strength, endurance, and survival depends on the individual and collective attitudes. If the group is the integration of the individuals belonging to it, the individuals bring to the group the qualities that guide the behaviour of the group, while allowing the individuals to thrive. That’s integration. It starts with the individual’s own integration and readiness to contribute to the good of the whole. We need to become who we need to be, to do what’s necessary, to get what’s wanted. That understanding prompts us to reflect on how are using ourselves, our resources, and are abilities. Many minds have changed and grown in the past six or seven weeks. New ideas have emerged. In the relative quiet and solitude of isolation, new perceptions have been revealed. Questions have been asked, and faced, and have delivered answers never before considered, or maybe long-forgotten and dumped on the shelf, as we all shuffled along on the treadmill. Now the patterns have been broken.Portals have opened to new pathways. (click HERE) We have rediscovered human elements, qualities, values, potential, and the will to use them, for a new life as individuals and as groups. We can integrate. This can be a great gift. We can restart, revamp, and refresh ourselves and our lives beyond what we ever previously imagined. This is being Mindfully Aware. It's realising the that we are as we think, as we feel, and as we do. (click HERE) This opens up all kinds of possibilities. It's a rediscovery of our own individual potential and sovereignty, and the choice of putting those privileges to use. This could be seen as a silver lining to the prevailing cloud. But let's be clear; that is one dirty, black, and forbidding cloud, still hovering, and needs the attention and respect that we should afford it. Then we can keep an eye on the glimmer at the far end of the tunnel, and apply ourselves now to the discipline, and consideration of others, and do what we need to do, to get what we want. Stay well. Keep your distance. Wash your hands.
