There are many ways to become mindful. I’ve no intention of arguing here which is the best, worst or any other way to do it.
But know this; what ever you do to become aware of how you’re using yourself, your resources, your abilities, if you feel you’re not, at this moment, you DO need to DO something about it.
Get some system in place, breathing, exercise, meditation, singing, guided reading, recital, anything that that stills the mind.

Then practise.
And practise.
And practise.

And then you’ll get good at it.

Otherwise you’ll end up talking about it, thinking about it, discussing it, arguing about it, and all the while nothings’ happening, because nothing’s being done.
