                                        How To Get It Done…
Everything starts with an idea. Everything. I hear lots of good ideas, and they’re expressed with great enthusiasm, a lot of determination, and solid belief. But most of them don’t translate into any kind of project. How come?
My belief is this, and it’s not offered as the sole reason, but as a prominent and constant factor.
What gets thought about, even with the best of intent, rarely gets beyond the thought stage.
Occasionally, it can be spoken about, and that gives it an airing as it reaches the ears of others, and so has had to be articulated. It becomes a bit clearer as an idea. Vocalising puts a basic construction in place for it to be intelligible to others, so it clarifies a bit more in the mind of the speaker.
But when the idea gets written, it connects.
We see the words, we hear them, we feel the pen in hand, the run of the nib across the page, the flow of writing as it describes the idea into a shape, an entity, and with any luck, the beginnings of some kind of plan.
No doubt about it, writing’s the thing.
Get it written, and the chances of getting it done increase out of all proportion to the moments it takes to write.
You can write a thousand words, or one word.
But the very act of writing involves us in the thought, the possibility and the feel of the idea. Then it can take a life of its own.
Put your idea on paper today.
