Well now, every Friday we hear T G I F.
Today, it’s TGIM. Monday is a great psychological day to start something. Any day is good. Monday is great. How about considering something you may have been threatening to do for awhile? Like getting into a bit better shape physically, toning the body, getting rid of a bit of flab, increasing energy levels, being more at ease with yourself, reducing stress levels, taking a decision, putting it into action, and seeing it through? You could decide to do any or all of these. You could get quietly excited by any, or all, of them. If you try to do them all at the one time you'll probably feel overwhelmed and to not get started on any of them. Take one or two of them, those you know you can handle, and you’ll give yourself a personal aim, an interesting challenge, and a realistic goal. Take time out. Write down what you’d like to achieve. When you have written that, write down why you’d want it. Think about this. Spend a bit of time on it. Three weeks ago, a well accomplished genteman felt he would be better off weighing about a stone, or a stone and a half, less. He also wanted to improve his muscle tone. He didn't want to just fit into his suits. He wanted to wear them. There is a difference. He wrote his aims. We met on zoom and talked about it. He put a plan into practice. So far he is ten lbs. in the right direction. And he's not starving. Nor is he depriving himself of essential nutrients. And his energy levels have gone through the roof. That’s good going, isn't it? That’s what happens when you take a decision, put it into simple practical use, know what to do, how to do it, and then just get on with it. It’s a great way to kick start your week. It gives meaning to your life, a personal, private, purposeful meaning, and you can do it any time. The gent’ above said I should put up the system I devised for him to other people. So I did. HERE it is. Have a look and if it appeals, get in touch and I’ll tell you how best to work it; then you can decide whether or not it’s for you. Whatever you do, make the most of who you are, where you are, with what you’ve got, on this Monday. Start with that.
