Mind-Body...?Body-Mind...?

Over the years systems have come into being to develop mind-body interaction. Some of the systems can be confusing as they focus on one-way traffic; mind to body direction ONLY.

While it begins in the mind, as a person develops,  use of the body contributes as well.

We all know that if we’re a bit tired, run down, out of shape physically, that it affects our attitude and how we think.

When we slouch, drag our feet, shuffle instead of walk, we express an unhelpful suggestion to our minds.

When we are healthy, well, reasonably optimistic, we will use ourselves more effectively.

We tend to stand straight, breathe well, and carry ourselves with an attitude of purpose. This has a far more profound effect on the mind than most people imagine.

Good physical condition translates into active living, constructive, clearer thinking, and a much more satisfying life.

Because these facts are so obvious, they tend to get overlooked.

What a pity!

It behoves  every one of us to acknowledge, consider, and act on these fundamental facts frequently. If we don’t, we can lose sight of why we are doing what we’re doing, and end up chasing rainbows.

On our most recent workshop it was seen how, when we realise ourselves to be the instruments of our own performance in life, we re-frame our thinking about our potential, our resources, and our abilities.

Getting and keeping the magnificent equipment with which we have all been gifted in good working order, is not only a privilege, but a personal responsibility.

Like everything, it starts with a decision. If we are tired, rundown, out of shape, carrying too much weight, feel sluggish, mentally and physically, we can decide to do something about it.

Clinical illness apart, there are no excuses.

Learning a strategy to get mind and body working for us is one of the simplest, most accessible, and effective ways of improving our lives in any area.

What ever your habits are, look at them.

Whatever your condition is, look at it.

If you are in any way unhappy with your condition, look to your habits before you do anything else. They are what have you where you are.

Now, we may not be able to change our circumstances, but we can INSTANTLY change our direction.

That's a simple matter of taking a decision.

So, look at those two points, where are you are, and what you see that got you there.

Spend a day or two on this at odd moments. Going back to it every so often opens and freshens your viewpoint.

When you’ve done this frequently over the next couple of days I’ll suggest a course of action that you'll find simple and effective and easy to bring into your life.
