Being Well and Healthy is a skill. If you can sit, stand, walk, and breathe, you can learn how to achieve a robust health. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a county hurler, or his 85 year-old granny. You can use this to very good effect.
One man I know, in his late 60’s, recently finished his first novel and regularly consults with his family on their business and private matters. Another, 71 years young, lapped a racing circuit in England within two seconds of the class lap record. There are other instances of people who are living active, productive lives, well into their 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, 80’s. The thing is, they’re not just doing it to be active, as some kind of defence strategy in the higher years; they’re living like they do because they’re able to, and want to. And that has a big part to play in our lives; the wanting, to do anything. Notwithstanding clinical illness, being well, healthy and fit can be pretty much achieved by anyone. There are simple, effective, and time-efficient ways to get yourself into really good shape. You don’t have to pump iron, work yourself into a frenzy, or knock yourself flat in spin classes to do this. The greatest gym’ in the world is underneath your own skin. When you learn to use the magnificent, miraculous resources that are available to you, you can literally transform your life, your world. You can do this over a few short months.
