 Stress to Energy by Food…

Lots of people today are impressed with the latest diet for slimming, the latest diet for toning, the latest diet for energy, and that’s fine. Diet is a huge factor in our lives and the quality of the life we have. Or don’t.
But any worthwhile diet is based on the principles of good nutrition, and they haven’t changed in the past, they don’t change now, and they probably never will, or at least until we reach the next stage of evolution, whatever that may be, and very likely won’t be in our time.
And good diet is based on a couple of basic principles. We need the nutrients supplied by food for the chemistry to take place that allows our bodies to repair the cells as they suffer the wear and tear of living.
Those nutrients are available to pretty well everyone these days. The problem is the ratio, or proportion , in which they’re eaten.
Protein is vital for growth and repair. We need an adequate amount every day. The average man or woman needs anything from 80 to 120 grams a day, depending on the lifestyle, activity, body size and so on. They’re in your meat, poultry, fish, eggs.
We also need vitamins and minerals; they‘re  needed in small amounts, but their absence can upset the whole balance of nourishment in the human system. They’re in nearly every natural food in varying proportions. Eat natural foods, in varying proportions, and you should be getting them. If you think you mightn’t be getting them, get a multivitamin/mineral tablet and take one every morning.
We need a small amount of fats and carbohydrates; they’re the sugary, starchy foods we eat, for energy, digestion, balance, to be in place. These are your breads, pastas, biscuits, potatos and chips, and rice, but particularly the sweets and bars and sugary drinks so prevalent today.
And then there are fats, which we use in the combustion of energy, in the protection of certain cells in the body, and for mobility in various ways. Again though, small amounts. These are in meat of ant kind, but the main ingestion of fat today comes in the form of snackfoods and fast foods.
Now, look at the nutritional components again, see the balance in which the Western diet is weighed, and figure for yourself those of which we’re eating too much, and those of which we eat too little.
Re-balance it.
Problem solved, or very nearly so.
A few refinements after a couple of months can make a diet really good; and what it should be; an exercise of nourishment and growth and repair and revitalization.
It’s a simple thing to do.
And yes, you’re right, being simple doesn’t mean it’s easy, but many are doing it every day, some dramatically, some bit by bit, but they’re doing it.
And there’s the key; take action. Do it.
Excuses out. Purpose in.
