The Irreplaceable Human Element...

The difference is in how it's done.

That's what makes a great book, an accomplished sportsperson, a readable writer, a successful businessperson, a likeable person, a conniving individual, a dominating figure, a submissive victim, those human, personal, individual elements that express our individuality.

A psychotherapist I know of great experience and much wisdom, told me recently that he thought that our greatest asset is to be able to decide to become who we want to be.

Now that's an interesting view because it isn't so much what we know, who we know, or what what we think that shapes our lives, but how we think, who we believe we are, and how we feel.

This is what determines how we act, behave, perform.

Any fact facing us, good or bad, is never as important as how we think about it. How we think about it determines how we feel about it. How we feel about it, decides what we do about it.

And who we believe we are is what decides how we think, feel, and eventually behave, in any circumstance.

The belief that we can do something is often enough to bring some distant aim or goal into the realm of possibility.
Without that belief, no matter what resources we have available to us, we'll have a hard time delivering on any endeavour.

Seeking, and recognising, who we might be, could be, can be, in our own minds, is what can lead us to the fundamental belief of trusting ourselves, believing in our own potential, and finally putting it into practice.

Which brings us back to the lifelong question; how do you think, how do you feel, about your own potential?
