The Power of Silence...

What we’ve discovered over the past few years is that the very act of finding silence is an achievement in itself. It takes a very definite decision. It requires will. It requires a little burst of discipline.

So many people have told me that once they find the silence, the rest seems to follow on. But, why would you want to be quiet?

You would want to be quiet for the very same reason that you shut your computer down to reboot it. When the computer is busy with front-end programs, and a load of stuff still churning away in the background, it can’t function well. In fact, it can't function at all.

When you’ve got a load of distractions, all of them clamouring for your sight, your hearing, your continued attention, it is impossible to function well.

Learning how to stop, go quiet, and reinstall the required thoughts in your mind, is to you, what the shut down and reboot is to the computer.

That's the Principle of Meditation. Or Mindfulness. Or Contemplation.

In the well of silence that you create, by your own decision, you begin to exert control over what you think about, how you think about it, and what you can do about it.

That’s how you begin to exert a direction, a meaning, and a certain control over your own actions, your results, and your life.

This is not new. What IS new is that more people now have the insight, the wit, and the courage and determination to make it reality. They have seen others do it. They see how people have put this skill to work in their lives, in their businesses, in their sporting and artistic endeavours. They see the value in it.

They see how it can work, the will to put it into practice, and  the determination to see it through.

The result is transformative. It changes every aspect of life, March, very much for the better.

Like all skills, this one too, has its basics, and they can be learned.

For the man or woman who wishes to hone his or her personal skills for clarity of purpose, lazerlike focus, and the priceless quality of enduring resilience, Go Here...
