Vision Is Great, But...

Clear Vision is Great, But…
We should never underestimate the value of clear vision. It gets great attention in the business press, and in the arts, and in every endeavor entertained by Man, and rightly so.
Real vision is an experience, much more than a visualized idea. The idea, the visual development is the learning process.
It’s the groundwork for the clarity that consumes the soul and becomes an experience. This is often dismissed as dreamy, insubstantial poppycock by those with little faith in themselves.
That’s because of the ‘But‘ in the above headline. The ‘But’ is the prelude to the word ‘action’.
Many people tell me of ideas, aims,  dreams, aspirations, and then follow on without a pause for breath, into all the reasons why they won’t get around to doing what they would wish to do for any number of specious reasons.
The vision is clear, the idea perfectly possible, the aim admirable, but the final belief in the execution is shaky, weak, unconvinced.
I can appreciate that. I’ve had aspirations and shied away from them myself.
The action isn’t taken. The vision fades, the excitement ebbs, the idea dies. All for want of action.
At any time of life, in any arena, if we want to get somewhere, do something, achieve anything at all, we need to start; we need to take action. We need to take the first step. Till then, nothing, absolutely nothing, happens.
So if you’re reconsidering that idea, that plan you had ten years ago, ten days ago, whatever you do, do something.
