What Does Life Mean to You...?

Friend, good morning.

Sometime ago I did a video on being F I T.

The F is for frequency. This is about regularity in practice. In any undertaking frequent practice is vital. That means day in, day out. It doesn’t mean you have to kill yourself. But it does mean is that it needs to be impressed on the mind and the body and the nervous system.

Sometimes you may not feel like doing it. But you don’t quit. What do you do is take a rest. You take a rest, you take a break. Then start again.

Learning to take a break is what keeps you going. If you don’t take a break, you end up tired, fatigued, overwhelmed by the relentlessness.

Learning to stop, halt, rest the mind and the body is one of the skills of being fit. It’s one of the most important and overlooked points.
So do it regularly. Do it frequently. And teach yourself the value of taking breaks.

The second letter is “I”. And in this case it stands for “intention.”

What you intend is what motivates you, stirs you, to act.

Intention needs to be acknowledged. Then it needs to be nurtured. Without nurture, intentions become the paving for the road to nowhere. When intention is nurtured, action follows.

Action is the key to realising your intention. Whatever you do, whatever you intend to do, start it.

Taking the first step brings boldness and confidence and reinforcement to your intention.

Your intention then clarifies and becomes part of who you are. This leads to the third step in the process.

  This word is ' Time'.

Time is one of the most valuable commodities we have. When we allocate time, we give part of our lives, a part of who we are, what we value , to an idea, or an ideal, that it may bring to our lives a benefit, a blessing, an advantage, that is useful.

So, when we make the time to do something, we pledge a part of who we are to that notion.

Too often, we dissipate  our intentions, qualities, and resources on meaningless distraction.

Perhaps we need to take some of that precious time of ours and examine what has meaning for our lives. Then we can begin to give our time to a purpose, an aim, some aspiration that does have meaning and direction.

And really live.
