What Have You Decided...?

4/8/2020

Every moment of every day, we make decisions. Ninety percent of the time, according to mounting psychological research, those decisions are unconscious. We're running on automatic. Our underlying beliefs, values, perceptions, are making our decisions.

Whether it's about people, religions, politics, business, sport, anything in our lives, our decisions, and thus our activities, are run by the background of beliefs we have about truth.

Some of these underlying abstracts serve us well. Others can destroy us.

So, it might be a good time to review what you hold as a belief. What do you think?
Are your beliefs serving you?
Do they help you live your life ?
Or are they encumbering, inhibiting, interfering with, what
you could and would do if it weren't for them?
Beliefs, like habits, are too weak to be felt, till they're too strong to be broken.

Beliefs run us. They alert us to what we think is good or bad for us. They're like emotional traffic lights that stop us dead on red, or give us the go on green. They form opinions about the people we meet, the places we go to, the events we encounter, even before they happen. They determine the quality of performance we deliver, or the lack of it, in any life event. They crush our self-esteem, or they can fill us with a hubristic arrogance that destroys us just as quickly
