When You Lose Direction...

The Best That Can Happen…
The piece on And Lee seems to have struck a chord with a lot of people. That’s good; he’s an inspiring kind of man, and a good one to have in our land.
He’s also a good role model for any age; an example of doing what needs to be done rather than just talking about it. His journey may have started with and idea, vague, unformed, just an idea that there was something he could do. Then as he held the thought, it began to form, take a shape. When it clarified, he put it into words, defined it.
Then he took action. And kept at it. He made his choice, developed his skills and delivered.
I don’t doubt that there were moments of doubt along the way. There always are. Especially when you’re breaking ground, when there’s no one to validate your actions, give approval to the effort, reinforce the drive, the ambition. All that has to come from within.
But that was his philosophy. And we all have one. That philosophy finally expresses itself in action. When we believe in our hearts that that philosophy is the one for us, and we bring it to action, results come.
Results come too when we don’t take action, and they’re exactly that, the results of our inaction.
The choice is always ours. No matter where you are in life, you can do something about it. You may not get an immediate change in your present circumstances, but you do get an immediate change in direction. So take the first step. Then keep taking the steps.
